Filtered water from every tap in the house.

A whole-home system filters your water where it comes onto the property, before it reaches the showers, laundry, kitchen and garden. Jason installs and services them on town water and rainwater tanks across the Mid North Coast.

What a sediment cartridge catches

Silt, sand and rust travel through water mains, pipes and tanks. The sediment cartridge stops them before they reach your taps, shower heads, hot water system and washing machine.

When a cartridge looks like the ones in these photos, it has done its job and it’s time for a new one.

An under-sink filter covers one tap.

Most of the water in a house goes through the showers, toilets, laundry and garden. A whole-home system filters all of it, not just the water from one tap.

Switch between the two to see the difference.

Water from the street or your tank

  • Showers, baths and toilets (not filtered)52%
  • Garden and outdoor taps (not filtered)23%
  • Washing machine (not filtered)12%
  • Kitchen and bathroom taps (one tap filtered)12%
  • Dishwasher (not filtered)1%

12% of the water a home uses goes through its taps. That’s the most an under-sink filter can cover.

Where the water goes in a typical home, based on Sydney Water household figures. Copper pipes carry filtered water; grey pipes carry unfiltered water.

Three systems to choose from

Every system removes sediment and reduces chlorine. Options 2 and 3 add more filtering. Jason can help you choose the right one for your water.

Plumbed in with copper, finished with a cover

Each system goes on an outside wall or a free-standing frame, is plumbed in with copper pipe, and gets a white or stainless steel cover.

Common questions

Do I need a whole-home system or an under-sink filter?

An under-sink filter only treats the tap it’s connected to. A whole-home system treats all the water coming into the house, including the showers, laundry and garden. If you want filtered water everywhere, you need a whole-home system.

Will it work with tank water?

Yes. Option 3 adds bacteria reduction and is the one suited to rainwater. Let Jason know where your water comes from when you call or text.

Where does the system go?

On an outside wall near where the water comes into the house, or on a free-standing frame if that suits the property better. It’s plumbed in with copper and finished with a white or stainless steel cover.

How often do the cartridges need changing?

It depends on your water and how much of it you use. Jason can tell you what to expect for your system, and change the cartridges for you when they’re due.

How much does a system cost?

It depends on the system and your property. Call or text Jason and he’ll give you a quote.
